Here are quick answers to the things families ask most about SandPlay, parties, reservations, and what to expect when you arrive.

Generally, no — we don’t require reservations. Many families simply walk in and play.
Reservations are most helpful during busy times — Saturday mornings, holiday school breaks, and for large groups — when space can fill quickly. Outside of those times, walk-ins are usually easy to accommodate.
If you’d like to plan ahead, you can reserve online anytime. You don’t pay until you arrive.
Yes. A waiver is required for every child who plays in the sandbox. One parent or guardian can complete a single waiver that covers all children in your family, and it’s valid for two years.
We recommend completing the waiver ahead of time, rather than in the lobby, to make check-in quick and easy when you arrive.
Yes, first and foremost, cleanliness and safety are a top priority at Dig Dig. Sand is a natural play material that does not hold bacteria the way many soft surfaces do.
We regularly treat the sand with a child-safe antibacterial solution to keep it clean. Our team cleans all toys and equipment throughout the day and between play sessions.
Dig Dig is a clean, well-managed space, as reflected in our Google reviews.
Dig Dig’s sweet spot is children ages 2 to 8. This is the age range where kids are most engaged and comfortable exploring the sandbox.
Parents can play alongside their child or watch from the sidelines with a clear view at all times, making it a great experience for both kids and caregivers.
Yes. Siblings are welcome to play together in the sandbox, and families often visit with children of different ages. Additionally, infants and babies who are too young to play are welcome to accompany a paying child at no additional charge.
Older kids also tend to enjoy our Dino Zone, where they can slow down and work on more detailed builds using custom molds called shapers. It’s a nice complement for families with a wider age range.
Yes. Dig Dig is designed to be a flexible, welcoming space, and many children with different abilities enjoy the sandbox at their own pace.
We encourage parents and caregivers to participate alongside their child and use their judgment to make the experience comfortable and enjoyable for them.
Comfortable play clothes are best. Our premium sand does not stick to clothes or skin, so kids can focus on playing without the mess.
The sandbox is a no shoes or socks space. You can store your footwear in a bin under the bench during play.
We also ask that kids avoid clothing with sequins, glitter or sparkly materials that can come off in the sand.
Parents and caregivers are totally welcome to play alongside their children in the sandbox. Better yet, we never charge adults to enter!
However, during busier times, we might ask you to keep the number of adults in the sandbox to a minimum to help keep the space comfortable for everyone.
Above all, our sandbox serves as a calm, enjoyable space for everyone. Therefore, we ask that kids do not run, scream, or throw sand or toys.
Parents and caregivers are responsible for supervising their own children and helping keep play safe and respectful for others. Our team is always nearby if help is needed during play.
We provide a wide variety of sand toys and equipment for kids to use during their visit. To help keep the sandbox consistent and safe for everyone, we ask that families use the toys provided by Dig Dig while playing.
Yes, absolutely! We welcome drinks and snacks in designated seating areas outside of the sandbox. However, to help keep the play space clean and safe, we ask that you keep all food and drinks out of the sandbox itself.
Also, brewed coffee (K-cup) is always free whenever you bring your own spill-proof thermos. We offer family-friendly priced snacks and drinks (typically under $2), along with specialty coffee drinks, lattes, and flavored drinks for around $5. Alternatively, if you prefer to bring your own snacks, that is perfectly fine too.
If space allows, you’re welcome to extend your playtime during your visit. We offer an additional 30 minutes for $5 per kiddo — just check with a team member and we’ll take care of it.
We also offer play passes for families who plan to visit often and want a little more flexibility.
We recommend planning for up to 12 kids and 12 adults in the party room for a comfortable experience.
We don’t draw a firm line on group size, but larger groups may feel more restricted in space. Table seating includes three 6-foot picnic tables, with additional bench seating available outside the sandbox area.
Birthday parties include 90 minutes of access to the private party room and private sandbox with toys.
The party room includes three 6-foot picnic tables, a 6-foot serving table, a full-size refrigerator, microwave, Wi-Fi, and plenty of outlets. The room is decorated in a construction theme, and best of all, cleanup is handled by our team after the party.
Hosts also receive 15 minutes of early access to the party room to set up.
Party room times are scheduled in advance to allow for cleaning and reset between celebrations. Because of that, extending or shifting the start time is not always possible.
If additional time is important, you’re welcome to check availability or book back-to-back party room time slots when available.
Generally, party play takes place strictly in the private sandbox included with the party room. As a result, this policy keeps the main sandbox from becoming overcrowded for our other guests.
Fortunately, the private sandbox features the exact same types of toys and equipment that kids enjoy in the main sandbox. During slower times, however, our team might allow some flexibility. We cannot guarantee this, since it completely depends on overall activity in the space.
Dino Zone tables are not reserved as part of a party room rental. They are generally available for use, and families are welcome to enjoy the Dino Zone during their visit.
Because the Dino Zone is a shared space, availability can vary and cannot be guaranteed during parties.
Party celebrations are not permitted in the main sandbox area. Birthday celebrations, decorations, and group gatherings are reserved for the party room or private event options.
This helps keep the sandbox comfortable and enjoyable for all guests.
Yes. Hosts receive 15 minutes of early access to the party room to set up. The room will be ready for you when you arrive, though our team may still be finishing up cleaning toys in your private sandbox.
Yes. You’re welcome to bring your own food, cake, and drinks for your celebration.
We ask that you pause sandbox play during food moments like blowing out candles and serving cake to help keep the play space clean. Adults are welcome to eat at the tables while kids are playing, but food and drinks are not permitted in the sandbox or on the sandbox benches.
Foods that could contaminate the sand are not permitted in the space, including items with sprinkles, glitter, confetti or nuts with shells (such as walnuts or peanuts)
You’re welcome to decorate the party room. Decorations must be attached using painter’s tape to help protect the walls — we’re happy to provide some if you need it.
Since we already decorate the room for a celebration, many families choose not to add extra decor or they just add tablecloths to the tables.
Finally – Help protect our sand — no confetti, pinatas or glitter items.
First, weekday parties include the exact same party room and private sandbox experience as weekend parties. Instead, the difference simply comes down to demand. Because weekends book quickly, weekdays tend to have far more availability.
Additionally, we designed our weekday pricing to work perfectly for smaller celebrations and playdates, since it includes up to four kiddos. You can add extra kiddos for just $20 per child.
No, you don’t. We know booking a party can feel stressful, so guessing your headcount shouldn’t add to that stress!
An estimate is just fine when you book. We will settle up after the party based on who actually attends, so you can focus on enjoying the celebration.
The store is closed to the public, giving you exclusive access to the entire store for a truly private experience.
A private store event means the entire Dig Dig space is reserved just for your group. The store is closed to the public, giving you exclusive access to the sandbox, play areas, and amenities for a truly private experience.
A deposit is required to reserve your event and is applied toward the total cost.
If you cancel two weeks or more before your scheduled date, your deposit will be refunded. If a cancellation occurs within 14 days of the event, the deposit is forfeited.
